Reported teen sweethearts Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez look set to become the king and queen of the upcoming Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards – the two stars have been nominated for top honors at the prizegiving.
Bieber faces stiff competition from his mentor Usher, Bruno Mars and Jay-Z in the Favorite Male Singer category, while his hit Baby has been nominated in the Favorite Song category.

Bieber’s reported girlfriend Gomez could go home with a trophy haul of her own – her TV series, Wizards of Waverly Place, has been shortlisted in the Favorite TV Show and she’s also nominated for Favorite TV Actress, as are Miley Cyrus, Miranda Cosgrove and Victoria Justice. Gomez and Cyrus will face off once more in the Female Singer category, along with Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

A battle of the brothers is brewing for the TV Actor crown – Jonas siblings Joe and Nick as well as twins Cole and Dylan Sprouse have all been nominated.

The Jonas Brothers also picked up a Favorite Music Group nod and will compete with Big Time Rush, the Black Eyed Peas and Lady Antebellum.

Gulliver’s Travels star Jack Black, who will host the ceremony for the third consecutive year, will compete for Favorite Movie Actor with Johnny Depp (Alice in Wonderland), Dwayne Johnson (Tooth Fairy) and Jaden Smith (The Karate Kid).

Cyrus’ turn in romantic drama The Last Song has earned her a Favorite Movie Actress nod, alongside Ashley Judd (Tooth Fairy), Kristen Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and Emma Watson (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1).

Alice in Wonderland, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and The Karate Kid will fight fan favorite Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 for the top movie accolade, while Despicable Me, How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek Forever After and Toy Story 3 are up for the Animated Movie honor.

Toy Story 3 co-stars Tim Allen and Tom Hanks are both nominated in the Favorite Animated Movie Voice category, along with Shrek Forever After’s Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy.

The Kids’ Choice Awards will take place in Los Angeles on 2 April.
