Veteran British actor Bill Roache has been cleared of two rape and four indecent assault charges.
The screen star, who has played Ken Barlow on hit U.K. soap opera Coronation Street since 1960, was accused of two charges of rape relating to an alleged attack on a 15 year old girl in 1967, and five charges of indecently assaulting four females aged between 12 and 16 from 1965 to 1968.
Roache, 81, was acquitted on one count of indecent assault last month, relating to an allegation he forced a 14 year old girl to perform a sex act on him in his car in 1965. The judge decided there was insufficient evidence for a conviction.
On Thursday, he was found not guilty by a jury of all the remaining charges.
