Michael Douglas’ incarcerated son Cameron has been sentenced to an additional four-and-a-half years behind bars for a new drug conviction.
Cameron Douglas is currently serving a five-year prison term after being convicted of methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute, and one count of cocaine possession, relating to a drug bust in 2009.

Earlier this year, authorities caught him with what appeared to be heroin and cocaine in his cell and in October he admitted to smuggling the narcotics into prison.

Cameron pleaded for leniency ahead of his hearing in New York on Wednesday but Manhattan Federal Judge Richard Berman rejected the request and recommended that the actor serve out his sentence in a facility that offered drug treatment and mental health care.

According to the Associated Press, Cameron was found to have committed a total of four violations, with one instance involving a female lawyer smuggling drugs into prison for the 33 year old in her bra.
