Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman has opened up about his battle with heroin addiction in his first ever TV interview.
The singer, whose father is rock legend Greg Allman, sat down with UTV show Entertainment Tonight to detail his past drug problems, which started before he even reached his teens.
The reclusive rock offspring says, “It was really bad. I did have some close calls. I started with drugs… at around 11.”
The 37 year old also reveals he survived a mystery illness which almost killed him.
ET host Rob Marciano says, “The disease was so severe that he went to Germany, to the same hospital where Farrah (Fawcett) was treated (for cancer).”
The interview will air on Tuesday.
