British singer Craig David is finally heading Down Under after resurrecting his cancelled Australian tour.
The Fill Me In hitmaker was forced to call off his dates Down Under last week over problems with promoters and visa issues, telling fans in a series of posts on Twitter.com, “Found out I’m not coming 2 (to) Australia? Still trying 2 (sic) find out why? Being told promoter gone AWOL (absent without leave)! So sorry 2 (sic) my fans… Right now I’m totally confused & I promise I will get 2 (sic) the bottom of this. But right now it looks like the promoter has let us all down!!”
David’s manager Colin Lester vowed to sort out the problems and on Monday, he announced the tour is back on.
The singer boarded a flight to Australia from Florida on Tuesday ahead of the first show in the Gold Coast on Wednesday.
In a series of posts on Twitter.com, Lester writes, “Visa’s (sic) received, we are on our way! See you soon Australia and thanks for your patience!… Band and crew in the air from London, Craig David in the air from Miami, destination Australia!! Enjoy!”
David adds, “On my way to Australia to light up the stage!! You guys ready!!… So happy it all worked out! Things always always do. O.Z here I come!”
The tour also includes dates in Sydney and Melbourne.
