Miley Cyrus has reportedly scrapped plans to sing her cover of Poison hit Every Rose Has Its Thorn at Sunday night’s American Music Awards after frontman Bret Michaels was accused of having an affair with her mother.
The teen sensation’s father Billy Ray filed for divorce from Tish last month, citing irreconcilable differences.

Reports suggested family friend Michaels had caused the shock split after allegedly having a fling with Tish around the time he re-recorded Every Rose Has Its Thorn with Miley.

Michaels has blasted the affair rumours, but the Hannah Montana star is still reeling from the allegations and she has decided against performing the track, according to TMZ.com.

Instead, Miley will perform Love and Forgiveness at the awards show, which will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday night.
