British rapper Dappy has been released without charge after he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend.
Police were called to a house in west London belonging to the mother of Dappy’s partner Kaye Vassell on Saturday morning to investigate allegations a woman had been attacked.

The N-Dubz star – real name Costadinos Contostavlos – was detained by cops on suspicion of common assault and spent 12 hours in custody before being released without charge.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror, “Police were called at 8.59am to an address in W6 to reports of a woman assaulted. Officers attended and arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of common assault… The 21-year-old woman did not require hospital treatment.”

A statement from the police force adds, “No further action will be taken.”

Vassell, 21, has two children with the star.
