Actor David Schwimmer came to the aid of New York City police officers on Monday by providing surveillance footage of a violent brawl outside his townhouse.
After learning that NYPD cops were on the hunt for information about an early morning brawl in the East Village apartment building next to the former Friends star’s home, he offered to help.
According to the New York Post, Schwimmer pulled video footage from his personal surveillance camera, which captured the incident – and showed two men smashing through a glass door in the building’s lobby.
Sources suggest the actor “ushered police into his home to view the footage”.
A representative for Schwimmer has declined to comment.
