Rapper Drake is facing legal action over allegations he commissioned a one-off piece of jewellery and then made duplicates to hand out to his friends.
Bosses of the Baden Baden Inc. jewellery company have filed a lawsuit against the star claiming he copied the design of a diamond and platinum pendant shaped like an owl they made for him back in January.
Drake, who has long used an owl symbol as a logo, is said to have paid around $50,000 for the item. The lawsuit alleges he posted pictures of the duplicate gold pieces on his Instagram page over the summer, according to TMZ.com.
Baden Baden bosses are suing for copyright infringement and demanding unspecified damages, and they also want Drake to hand over the alleged copies of the pendant.
The company is owned by designer/stylist Michael Raphael, who is also suing the Started From the Bottom hitmaker over allegedly unpaid bills for services as part of a separate case.
