British actor Colin Firth was caught up in a real-life drama when armed police stormed an airplane after two passengers were involved in a fight.
The King’s Speech star was in Los Angeles to hand Meryl Streep her third Oscar at the Academy Awards on Sunday, and he headed home to London with his wife Livia and their two sons on a British Airways flight on Wednesday.

However, stewards called for police back-up following a mid-air bust-up between two flyers, and cops raced aboard the plane when it landed at London’s Heathrow airport.

A source tells Britain’s The Sun, “Passengers were in meltdown when it spiralled out of control. It was scary for flyers who feared for the safety of the flight.

“Colin Firth showed his usual cool and was more concerned at the well-being of his wife and kids. It was far more dramatic than anything at the Oscars.”

According to the publication, model Jodie Kiss was also on the flight.
