Freddie Mercury Documentary Leads Rose D’Or Awards

A documentary charting the life of late superstar Freddie Mercury has taken one of the top prizes at the international Rose d’Or TV awards.
The British TV film, titled Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender, focused on the singer’s life outside of his band Queen and it won in the prestigious arts category at the ceremony, which celebrates the best in international television.
The awards were handed out at a prizegiving in Belgium on Thursday night. Other winners included U.K. comedy Spy and American game show Oh Sit!
