Pop star Lady Gaga is to meet with White House officials in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday to discuss her work on bullying prevention.
The Bad Romance hitmaker launched a campaign to make bullying illegal after learning a 14 year old fan, Jamey Rodemeyer, allegedly committed suicide in September following years of cruel taunts from peers over his sexuality.

And now Gaga has moved forward with her promise to stamp out bullying by jetting to the capital to speak with President Barack Obama’s administrators about finding a long-lasting solution.

The singer is not expected to meet Obama during her official visit as the politician is due to conduct a speech on the state of the economy in Kansas.

Gaga has done much to stomp out bullying on her own – she launched youth empowerment organisation Born This Way Foundation in a bid to shelter victims back in November and she recently shot an anti-bullying video for a Canadian school.
