George Lucas Applies For Permit To Erect Yoda Statue

Director George Lucas has applied for a permit to demolish a building in San Anselmo, California and erect bronze statues of his beloved movie characters Indiana Jones and Yoda.
The filmmaker filed legal papers with local officials on Wednesday., asking for permission to tear down a structure and build a park in its place.
The green space will feature sculptures of the fictional archaeologist and Star Wars sage.
Chamber of Commerce President Connie Rodgers believes Lucas will get his wish to start work on the project early next year. The new space is likely to open before next summer.
