Harrison Ford put his health problems behind him by launching himself down a 2,500 foot slide on Tuesday.
The Indiana Jones star was hospitalized in June after his left leg was crushed on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. The actor has spent weeks recovering from the injury and finally looked ready to head back to work as he walked the red carpet unaided at The Expendables 3 premiere earlier this month.
And there was more good news for Star Wars director J. J. Abrams, who had to halt filming to await Ford’s return, this week when images of the 72 year old tackling the thrilling slide ride hit the Internet.
But the actor was taking a big risk – fun-lovers can reach speeds of 30 miles per hour on the slide – and he’s just days away from returning to the set in London to continue filming.
Pictures obtained by TMZ.com show the actor taking the plunge on the Alpine Slide in Jackson Hole, Wyoming during a day out with his family.
