Ian Watkins Pleads Not Guilty To Child Sex Offenses

Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins has appeared in court in Wales to deny child sex offenses.
The 35-year-old rocker appeared in Cardiff Crown Court via video link from prison on Monday to face 24 charges, including two counts of raping a baby under the age of 12 months, and another charge of aidingand abetting the sexual assault of another child, who was aged under 18 months at the time.
He also faces two counts of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a female under 13, as well as possessing, making and distributing indecent images of children, and possessing “extreme” animal pornography.
He entered a not guilty plea along with two women, aged 24 and 20, who also denied sexual offenses against children.
A hearing has been set for Thursday when a trial date is expected to be set.
Following the court appearance, Watkins released a statement vowing to clear his name, which reads, “I want to thank my family, friends and all the fans for the continued support throughout this whole ordeal. Your support gives my strength.
“I deny all the allegations made against me and I will continue to fight to clear my name.”
