Jack White, Foo Fighters And Pearl Jam Up For European Festival Awards

Rock giants Jack White, Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam are set to go head-to-head for the Headliner of the Year honor at the upcoming European Festival Awards.
Florence + the Machine, Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver, The Black Keys, The Cure, The Killers, and Stone Roses are also in the running for the prize at the ceremony, which celebrates the best of Europe’s outdoor music events.
Meanwhile, The Black Keys’ track Lonely Boy, Mumford & Sons’ Little Lion Man, and Florence + the Machine’s Shake It Out are among the hits shortlisted in the Anthem of the Year category.
Rising acts including Alabama Shakes, rapper Azealia Banks and 2012 Mercury Prize winners Alt-J will battle it out for the Newcomer of the Year trophy at the prizegiving ceremony on 9 January in the Netherlands.
