Joe Jonas has announced plans to release a solo album away from The Jonas Brothers.

The 20 year old shot to fame as the lead singer of the Disney sibling trio but now he’s ready to branch out by recording his own material.

He tells Just Jared, “There’s nothing to hide. We’re just waiting for the right timing. There’s a lot of Jonas stuff going on this year, so once there’s a place for that record, we’ll release it.

You’ll hear a lot of new music from us.” The youngest member of the band, Nick, was the first to launch a separate side project when he formed Nick Jonas and The Administration last year. The Lovebug hitmakers have repeatedly denied rumours of a split and are planning to go on tour together this summer.
