Julia Roberts’ tragic half-sister Nancy Motes left several pages of notes before allegedly taking her life on Sunday, a coroner has confirmed.
The 37-year-old production assistant was found dead in a bathtub in what has been reported as a suicide, and now Ed Winter, deputy chief of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, has confirmed that “several written notes” were discovered at the scene.
Los Angeles police officials insist there is no evidence of foul play.
In a statement released on Monday, Motes’ family stated “an apparent drug overdose” was the cause of death.
Roberts pulled out of the Academy Awards’ Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Monday, as well as a scheduled appearance on late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! to mourn her sister.
