Justin Bieber was disappointed when he missed out on a Grammy Award nomination for the 2013 prizegiving, but is confident “it will happen one day”.
The pop star, who previously scored two nods at the 2011 ceremony, was overlooked when the categories were announced last week, prompting his manager Scooter Braun and music mogul Simon Cowell to slam bosses for the snub.
But while Bieber admits he had been hoping to be shortlisted, he is sure he will one day take home a Grammy.
He tells talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, “(It was) a big bummer… I was looking forward to (possible Grammy nominations), but I know it will happen one day. I’m so young, I’m only 18. I’m just blessed to be able to do what I love every day. And the AMAs was a lot of fun for me so… Hopefully, one day.”
Bieber scooped three trophies at the American Music Awards last month, including Artist of the Year.
