Justin Timberlake has come under fire from Palestinian citizens after posing for a picture in front of Israel’s Western Wall.
The Suit and Tie hitmaker took a photo of himself praying in front of the sacred site before his concert in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
After snapping the photograph, he took to Instagram.com and wrote, “The Holy Land… What an experience. I will never forget this day. Israel.”
However, his message upset many of his Palestinian followers on the social networking site, prompting them to blast the 33 year old.
One follower wrote, “There was never an Israel, this was always Palestine.”
Another added, “Theres noland (sic) called israel be sure of that, its palestine and forever.”
While Timberlake received many comments from people offended by his photo caption, many followers also wrote supportive messages.
One fan wrote, “Welcome to the promised land.”
Israel and Palestine have been embroiled in a border battle for decades.
