Lil Wayne has paid tribute to his rapper pal Huddy 6, who was killed in a car crash while the Lollipop hitmaker was behind bars.
The hip-hop star was released from New York’s Rikers Island jail on Thursday morning and taken to a safe house, where he was reunited with loved ones.

But his first day of freedom was tinged with sadness – because he couldn’t celebrate with Huddy 6, who was involved in a fatal traffic accident in October.

Lil Wayne took a moment to reach out to fans on Twitter.com and to honour his friend, real name Andre Hudson.

In a post on the site, Lil Wayne writes, “Aaaaaaahhhhhhmmmmm baaaaakkkkkkkkkk (I’m back). With the family… perfekto (sic)… R.I.P. Huddy6… Harlem stand up!”
