British pop star Lily Allen issued a public appeal for a new generator after a major power outage ruined her equipment prior to a performance at the Notting Hill Carnival in London on Monday.
The Smile star was due to perform at the event on Monday afternoon, but the street festival was marred by heavy rain and technical problems.
Shortly before her set, Allen took to Twitter.com to ask for help after the generator broke down.
She writes, “I’m at #nottinghillcarnival… the generator has blown, need a generator quicktime, can anyone come and fix it (sic)? #devd (devastated).”
Other acts due to perform at the carnival include Allen’s former producer Mark Ronson and her DJ ex-boyfriend Seb Chew, as well as Chase & Status and Ms. Dynamite.
