A man arrested for trespassing at Lindsay Lohan’s Venice, California home on New Year’s Day has been ordered to stay away from the actress for two years.
Lonnie Short refused to leave the Mean Girls star’s doorstep until he had spoken to Lohan and the police were called to her home.

He was taken into custody for questioning and on Wednesday, Short was convicted on one misdemeanour count of trespassing after pleading no contest in court.

He was also sentenced to 24 months probation and jailed for eight days.

The restraining order, obtained by TMZ.com, forbids him from contacting Lohan or going within 100 yards (92 metres) of the actress or her home until 2014.
