Country star Loretta Lynn was forced to postpone a concert in Iowa on Thursday night as her daughter prepared to undergo a mystery surgery.
The Coal Miner’s Daughter singer was scheduled to perform at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, but cited a family medical emergency for axing the show at the last minute.
Lynn’s 62-year-old daughter, Cissie Lynn, took to her Facebook.com account on Tuesday to share the news she is scheduled to have surgery on Friday, but did not go into details about the operation.
She wrote, “I truly want to thank each and everyone of you for your thoughts and prays (prayers). I will be having surgery Friday it’s a very long process but I know god will be holding my hands though out my recovery I love you all thanks (sic) you for being my friend and caring about me hopeful (sic) I will be able to sing again in a few months.”
The concert has been rescheduled for 27 March.
