Michael Douglas fears he has developed a hernia after injuring himself during a raucous celebration for his son’s bar mitzvah.
The Fatal Attraction star arrived at a launch party for Hollywood mogul Jerry Bruckheimer’s new book, When Lightning Strikes, at the Monkey Bar in New York City on Wednesdaynight, and he was walking with a noticeable limp.
He told reporters at the bash that he had been left in pain after helping to hoist his son Dylan up into the air on a chair during the traditional Horah dance at his coming-of-age party, and now fears he might have caused a serious injury.
Douglas told New York Post gossip column Page Six, “I’m hurting. I don’t know whether it’s my groin or a hernia. I got carried away at my son’s bar mitzvah this weekend. You know they put you up in the chairs over the top – I think something happened there.”
Dylan turned 13 last August.
