Actor Michael Jace has pleaded not guilty to the shooting death of his wife last month.
The former The Shield star was slapped with a charge of murder with a gun after April, his spouse of 11 years, was found dead at the family home in Hyde Park, Los Angeles on 19 May. She died from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Jace, who is currently being held on $2 million bail, was arraigned in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday, when he pleaded his innocence.
The judge overseeing the case ordered the actor to stay away from the couple’s two children, who were at home when their mother was killed. They were unharmed and have since been rehoused with relatives.
Jace is due back in court on 1 August.
If convicted, he faces 50 years to life behind bars.
