Saucy singer Miley Cyrus has thrown her weight behind a campaign supporting women’s right to strip off.
The pop star has come under fire in recent months over her provocative stage performances and flesh-flashing costumes, which have included a racy routine in a skin-coloured Latex two-piece with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
Cyrus, who also stripped off in her Wrecking Ball video, is now backing the controversial Free The Nipple campaign, a drive aimed at decriminalising female nudity iand ending restrictions on showing the female form in movies.
She posted a link to the campaign’s Twitter.com page on her account, along with a photograph showing her holding up a fake nipple.
A representative for the campaign subsequently thanked the star for her backing.
