Dame Helen Mirren was thrilled to work with her acting hero Al Pacino in the upcoming Phil Spector movie, branding the experience “one of the highlights” of her life.
The British actress signed up to play Spector’s attorney, Linda Kenny Braden, in the as-yet-untitled biopic after Bette Midler was forced to pull out of the project due to a herniated disc in her back.
Mirren is grateful she got the chance to act opposite “inspiring” Pacino as the troubled record producer, who is currently serving a 19-year prison sentence for the 2003 shooting of actress Lana Clarkson.
Mirren tells WENN, “(It was) great, really great (to work with Pacino). Really inspiring and one of the highlights of my life to work opposite him. That was fantastic, (I was) very lucky.”
