Harry Potter fans have been given a glimmer of hope the boy wizard will make a return following the launch of a cryptic new website.
Next month sees the final installment of the phenomenally successful film series hit cinemas, three years after author J.K. Rowling released her last book in the Potter chronicles, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Fans mourned the loss of the Hogwarts hero, but after a new website went online over the weekend, it has been hinted the magical world could feature in more stories.

The site, pottermore.com, shows two owls perched in front of a purple background, with the words ‘Coming Soon’. The site is signed by Rowling and bears her trademark.

Rowling stated after the release of her final book in the series that she had finished writing about Harry Potter, and Daniel Radcliffe, who has played the wizard on-screen for a decade, insists he knows nothing about the potential new books.

He tells the Los Angeles Times, “I know nothing about that whatsoever. I’m sure that Jo will be writing a lot more in the coming years. I’m sure she has a lot more in her than we’ve read and a lot more stories to tell.”

But when asked if he’d return to do more films adapted from any new tomes, Radcliffe insists he’s done with the character.

He says, “I think that would be a bit odd. I’d be very skeptical (sic) about that. First of all, I don’t think that she will (write another Potter book) and second of all, oh, I don’t know, the idea of going back to something after 10 or 20 years? At that point, I will have worked 20 years to establish a career outside of it, and at that point to go back to it would feel a little self-defeating.”
