The family of Paul Walker is dedicated to keeping the late actor’s charity work alive and have suggested fans make donations to his foundation in his honour.
The Fast & The Furious star died on Saturday when he and business partner Roger Rodas were involved in a car crash in Santa Clarita, California.
Walker had been hosting an event to raise money for victims affected by the typhoon in the Philippines through his charity, Reach Out Worldwide, and now his family has released a statement on his Facebook.com page encouraging fans and friends to give to the organisation that was near to his heart.
It reads: “Paul Walker’s family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends. They have asked, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul’s charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW). Donations can easily be made through their website.
“It’s comforting for them to know that the son, brother, and father they love so much is equally adored, respected, and appreciated by so many. Paul founded the organization with the genuine desire to help others, and it’s important to his family to keep his memory alive through ROWW.”
While an autopsy on both Walker and Rodas is reportedly set for Tuesday, an investigation is already underway to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
