Latin pop star Ricky Martin has signed up to share his music savvy on the Mexican version of The Voice reality TV franchise.
The Livin’ La Vida Loca hitmaker wrapped up his second year as a coach on The Voice Australia earlier this week and on Thursday, it was revealed he will be heading to Mexico to join local stars Yuri and Julion Alvarez and Italian singer Laura Pausini on the panel of talent mentors there.
A spokesperson for Mexico’s Televisa network, which airs the show, says, “All his experience and musical abilities will be available for the next season of The Voice… Mexico.”
The fourth season of the Mexican series will kick off on 7 September.
Martin replaced country star Keith Urban on The Voice Australia, but it is not yet known if he will return for season four next year.
