Pussy Riot stars Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alekhina have been arrested in Russia.
The pair, who were both freed from prison in December after a high-profile case, were held by cops at the site of the Winter Olympics in Sochi on suspicion of robbery.
In a post on Twitter.com, Tolokonnikova writes, “We have been arrested… and are accused of robbery… At the time of our detention, we weren’t engaged in any protests, we were walking around Sochi. We were walking.”
It is not known when the two women were arrested or whether they will face any charges.
They were sentenced to two years in prison in 2012 for performing a protest song against President Vladimir Putin at a church in Moscow. Fellow Pussy Riot member Yekaterina Samutsevich was freed in October, 2012 when her two-year sentence was commuted.
