Former Will & Grace star Sean Hayes has picked up an award in recognition of his efforts to bring “positive visibility” to the gay community.
The actor was the guest of honor at The Human Rights Campaign’s annual gala dinner in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received the civil rights organisation’s Visibility Award for his work within the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community.
He later took to his Twitter.com page to share his joy with fans, tweeting, “What an amazing & inspiring night at the HRC Atlanta Gala Dinner tonight. Thanks to all of you for making me feel so welcome.”
