Veteran folk star Pete Seeger put on an impromptu performance for the Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York on Friday night, ending a march through Manhattan with a song.
The 92-year-old music legend joined the demonstrators for a 30-block march after his show in the city.

The walk ended at Columbus Circle in the early hours of Saturday morning and Seeger entertained the crowd by performing protest song We Shall Overcome.

Other musicians at the march included folk singer Arlo Guthrie, Grammy Award-winning entertainer Tom Chapin, composer David Amram, and blues star Guy Davis.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, comedian Russell Brand and his pop star wife Katy Perry were among those who joined rap mogul Russell Simmons at the protesters’ make-shift base in Zuccotti Park to fight against social inequality and corporate greed.
