Sir Cameron Mackintosh Inducted Into Broadway Theater Hall Of Fame

Sir Cameron Mackintosh has become the first British producer to be inducted into the Broadway Theater Hall of Fame.
The Phantom of the Opera producer was feted at the Gershwin Theater in New York on Monday alongside actors Cherry Jones and Ellen Burstyn and directors Jerry Zaks and George C. Wolfe.
Mackintosh was unable to attend, but offered a statement that reads, “(I am) deeply honored. (This is) one of the most satisfying, thrilling parts of my life and career”.
Past inductees include Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lynn Redgrave and Charles Ludlam.
