Sally Field, Bobby Cannavale and Gretchen Mol were evacuated from a building in New York City on Monday night over safety fears.
The trio was among around 500 people ordered to leave the Angel Orensanz Center in Manhattan after firefighters reported cracks in the venue’s support beams.
The evacuation came amid the Spring Gala, which was held to raise funds for theater company Soho Rep. The fire department was alerted to the safety issues after a smoke alarm went off at the converted synagogue.
Mol was co-hosting the event with director Tim Blake Nelson. Field, Cannavale, Richard Lewis and Marisa Tomei were among the star presenters at the event.
It is not known if guests were allowed to re-enter the building after safety checks were carried out.
