British actor/comedian Stephen Fry has thanked his supporters for their well wishes following news of his hospitalisation.
The funnyman was admitted to a medical facility on Wednesday to treat a painful skin infection called cellulitis, and is likely to spend the coming days under the care of doctors.
He updated fans about his wellbeing and thanked them for their support via his Twitter.com page on Thursday.
Fry writes, “Being pumped & dripped with antibiotics. Once they’ve done their job, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging scan) tomorrow and hope to be out by the weekends (sic): thanks for good wishes.”
