Actor Steve Guttenberg is developing a Police Academy revival with comedians Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele.
Guttenberg portrayed Carey Mahoney in four Police Academy movies, including the 1984 original, and now he reveals he’s part of a 30th anniversary return to the franchise – and he has a couple of comics in the running for leading roles.
He tells Hollywood Today Live, “I’m a big fan of Key & Peele and when Warner Bros. told me their show was the base for the next Police Academy that got me really excited. They are super talented. I’m looking forward to working with them.”
The comics recently appeared as cops in hit drama series Fargo.
