Rocker Sting was among the honorees at the annual Time for Peace awards ceremony in Paris, France on Friday.
The star won the Best Music award at the humanitarian film and music ceremony for his 2009 album If On A Winter’s Night.

Other winners at the event included Sotigui Kouyate, who was named Best Actor for his performance in London River, while Brenda Blethyn won the Best Actress prize for her role in the same film.

Heroes star Jimmy Jean-Louis was among the guests at the ceremony, and the actor applauded the annual humanitarian prizegiving.

He tells The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s one step forward for togetherness. We live in a world that’s completely divided which is why we need humanitarian events like this in order to inspire others to remain humane. We’re losing touch with ourselves.”
