British police have charged two men for allegedly plotting to kidnap and murder singer Joss Stone.
Two suspects, aged 30 and 33, were arrested on Tuesday after reports of a car circling Stone’s home in Devon, south-west England were filed to local police. A search of the vehicle later allegedly uncovered a cache of swords, a rope and a body bag.

The men, whose identities have not been released, were initially held for possessing an offensive weapon and being equipped for burglary and theft in a conspiracy to cause the soul singer “really serious harm”.

However, officers subsequently upgraded the inquiry following further investigation and charged the pair with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm on Wednesday afternoon, according to TMZ.com.

The suspects have been remanded in custody and are due to appear in court on Thursday.
