Cult British band the Stone Roses have sparked rumors their long-awaited reunion is finally on the horizon, after singer Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire reportedly ended their 15-year feud.
The Fools Gold hitmakers split in 1996 after Squire quit the band following a series of bust-ups over their musical direction.

Rumors of a reunion have swirled in recent years, forcing both Squire and Brown to speak out in 2009 to deny a comeback was imminent.

But a new report in Britain’s The Sun newspaper suggests the Stone Roses are set to reunite this year after the two warring members were brought back together at the funeral of bass player Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield’s mother last month.

A source tells the publication, “It was an emotional reunion. There were no harsh words. It was a heartwarming breaking of bread. They had a lot to catch up on and have been in regular contact since.”
