Stylish stars Madonna, Rihanna and Sarah Jessica Parker flocked to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for the annual MET Gala, which celebrated the launch of late designer Alexander Mcqueen’s Savage Beauty exhibition.
Fashion forward A-listers used the red carpet as their runway at the Costume Institute Gala Benefit on Monday, which was chaired by Vogue editor Anna Wintour, actress Salma Hayek, Colin Firth and Sir Paul McCartney’s designer daughter Stella.

The biggest night in fashion marked the opening of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, an exhibition of the late Brit’s finest creations.

McQueen’s successor Sarah Burton was the toast of the event following her triumph at Friday’s royal wedding, for which she designed Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s stunning bridal gown.

Other stars showing off their outfits included Isla Fisher, Renee Zellweger, Freida Pinto, Michelle Williams and Kanye West.
