Actor Channing Tatum had a terrible start to 2012 – a New Year’s Day hike left him with a poison oak rash and food poisoning.
The G.I. Joe star and his wife Jenna Dewan hit the great outdoors on the first day of the year and went camping, but the trek wasn’t the thrill he was hoping for.

He recalls, “We came back and I was hungry… and I looked into the cooler and there’s a beautiful Subway sandwich sitting in some old cooler water… and so I wolfed that thing down.

“I wake up around four and I’m like, ‘I’m gonna throw up up…’ and I released the demons. I can’t imagine what the campsite next door was thinking. It was horrible.

“My beautiful wife takes me down to the public restroom that was in this camp and I’m just basically hugging the toilet.”

And there was worse to come: “My wife came in and said, ‘Baby… there’s a mountain lion outside!’

“I go outside and yep, there’s a mountain lion sitting right up on the ridge and it’s looking dead at me… Now I’m looking for weapons… I grabbed the flashlight and we start to slowly inch out… and I look up and it’s not moving at all and then I realized it’s a stump.”

Appearing on U.S. late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, Tatum also showed off his poison oak scars on his wrist.
