Taylor-Wood Awarded OBE Medal

Artist and filmmaker Sam Taylor-Wood has been honoured with an Order of the British Empire (OBE) medal.
The director, who is expecting her fourth child, was recognised for her services to the arts and presented with the prestigious award by Charles, Prince of Wales on Wednesday during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London.

Taylor-Wood became known in the art world for her photography and video pieces, including David, one of her most famous works, which depicts soccer star David Beckham sleeping.

She went on to shoot John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy and has since directed a music video for R.E.M. track Uberlin, starring her fiance Aaron Johnson.
