The Wanted stars Siva Kaneswaran and Jay Mcguiness narrowly escaped injury on Wednesday after they were reportedly attacked by a homeless man wielding a knife.
The boyband members were leaving a movie theater in Denver, Colorado earlier this week when they came across a tramp begging for money.
Irish singer Kaneswaran handed the guy a few dollars, but the man protested and demanded more, before pulling out a blade, according to TMZ.com.
A scuffle ensued, but the stars were allegedly able to get away and managed to avoid injury.
Police were not called to investigate the incident and Kaneswaran appeared unfazed by the run-in – later on Wednesday, he took to his Twitter.com blog and praised Johnny Depp’s new movie, which he had been watching minutes before the attack, writing, “Saw #Transcendence last night! Loved it! Thanks for the free tix (tickets) UA Denver Pavilions (cinema)!”
He made no mention of the scuffle.
The Wanted were in Denver as part of a North American tour, prior to an extended hiatus following the completion of their ongoing global trek.
