Tim Mcgraw and Kenny Chesney are already celebrating a Country Music Association (CMA) Awards win hours before the launch of the 46th ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday night.
The country duo has learned it is the winner of the Musical Event of the Year trophy. Chesney is up for the event’s biggest prize, Entertainer of the Year, but faces stiff competition from Taylor Swift, ceremony co-host Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean.
Toby Keith is also an early winner – he has picked up the CMA award for Video of the Year for his Red Solo Cup promo.
The main awards will be handed out at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville tonight.
