Former Judas Priest singer Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens has cancelled his upcoming Brazilian tour dates following a visa mix-up.
The heavy metal star was scheduled to play four gigs in the South American country from Thursday, but the concerts have been axed after Owens failed to resolve his travel issues.
In a post on his Facebook.com page, he writes, “I am sorry to say the shows in Brazil have been cancelled!! The Brazilian consultant would not issue me the right kind of visa! This is the first time this has happened to me.
“One person in Brazil told me to get one kind of visa then at the last minute they told me to get another which was denied! I am sorry and I so hope to return in 2013 with everything handled correctly and to bring a great show to all my Brazilian fans and friends!
“I will now be adding a few shows and appearances in Argentina during his time.”
