Moviemaker Kathryn Bigelow’s great start to December has continued – Zero Dark Thirty has been named Best Film by America’s National Board of Review.
The action thriller about the hunt for Osama bin Laden also earned Bigelow a Best Director trophy, and her leading lady, Jessica Chastain, was handed the Best Actress honor. Silver Linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper was the surprise Best Actor winner.
Zero Dark Thirty kicked off the month by claiming Best Film and Best Director prizes when the New York Film Critics Circle Awards were announced on Monday.
