Hip-hop superstar 50 Cent will no longer perform as part of a Major League Baseball party in New York this weekend, days after he was charged with domestic violence.
The In Da Club hitmaker, real name Curtis Jackson, had already pulled out of plans to make an in-store promotional appearance in Birmingham, England on Monday, and now his name has been removed from the line-up for the MLB All-Star Bash at Manhattan’s Roseland Ballroom on Sunday, reports TMZ.com.
50 Cent had been booked to attend the bash, but an online advertisement for the event now only promises two “surprise performances” for attendees.
It is not yet known if MLB organisers dropped him from the gig or if the rapper axed the show himself.
50 Cent faces one misdemeanour for domestic violence and four counts of vandalism following allegations he attacked his ex-girlfriend, Daphne Joy, at her California home on 23 June, causing over $7,000 in damages. He has vehemently denied the charges.
