Adele Joins Eminem’s Million Club

Adele’s 21 has become only the second album to sell a million digital downloads in the U.S.
The Rolling in the Deep singer hit the milestone a week after Eminem became the first artist to make it to a million with his 2010 release Recovery.

But, thanks to yet another healthy sales week online, Adele’s 2011 album has passed Eminem’s sales record by 12,000, according to

Adele’s 21 is 2011’s best-selling album so far in America, shifting 2.6 million copies. It has spent 10 non-consecutive weeks at number one and is challenging Beyonce’s 4 for the top spot this week.
